Nigeria Electricity Distribution Companies are cheating their customers! (2)
In a recent article posted on Linkedin by By Ndubuisi E., he observed that the Discos are rejecting loads of power allocated to them by the Gencos( you can follow the link to read the article @ https://lnkd.in/dNMsJVR https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6314411422042320896
This did not come as a surprise to many of us following the trend in that sector, given the fact that the inability of the Discos to provide meter to customers did not prevent them from exploiting customers by continuing to bill such customers at randomly increasing consumption level.
The question here is, What parameter did the Discos/ NERC use to arrived at the minimum billing/consumption rate to be allocated to each houses.

Another development that has been observed most especially in Lagos is the mounting of the so called smart meters on the poles to ironically aid Lagos to quickly attain its "Smart city"quest. Another question is, if the Discos claims that they are doing this because people are stealing energy from them by tampering with the connection to the meter, how do I know if I am actuality been correctly billed by the meter installed for a house on the pole? F.G should force Discos to capture true data for reflective billing/metering.
